It has been snowing since last night, and the snow has already piled several inches high. The current snow level is still not so high in this area, but it heralds snowy season.
Even though we have much snow every year and are inured to cold, most of us don't like snow because it disturbs our daily life. However, the snow also brings a beautiful scenery.

I thank the one who gave us this sense of beauty, because it makes me really happy and it has no limits unlike money or position, even though I can't explain well still now..
Dear Emily
Lately I often sweep fallen leaves in the morning. Watching leaves in varied shapes and colors, I feel how beautiful they are and I think, for what purpose, this sense of beauty we have.
Being sensitive to tastes, smells,temperature or pains is of course necessary to keep us alive. However for what reason the sense of beauty is? A man says "Beautiful!" when he looks at a picture, a woman or a scenery, even at a mathematical expression.
The sense may be also working for us in some complicated way. Well I'm sure it's the most important thing for a man, though I can't explain enough now.Nov. 14, 2007
